THE TALE OF THE BIRD AND THE TREE
What does wildlife mean to you? The Tale of the Bird and the Tree is a participatory art project seeking to answer this question for the people of Ledbury and those who visit our historic streets over the course of Ledbury Poetry Festival . This public art project hopes to bring us together as a community and encourage us to better connect with the natural world around us. We will be donating profits from this project to Sustainable Ledbury - a local group dedicated to preserving the natural world around us, with the intent that this project can both engage us with nature and provide practical support to help minimise our impact on our surroundings. So how does it work? Two art installations are in creation to spark this conversation - The Bird (by Caroline Green) at Take4 Gallery and The Tree (by Nic Sims) at Pot & Page .
